In the heart of the Colombian Coffee Triangle, within the rural sector of El Caimo, Armenia lies La Morelia Farm sprawling 20 acres with over 100,000 coffee trees. Walk through the rainbow iron clad gate and you enter a coffee lovers paradise. There, Gilberto Torres and his wife, Cecilia Valencia specialize in Caturra, one of Colombia's most popular varieties of specialty coffee. The Caturra is tended to by many employees that live year round in multiple houses on the farm itself and have a passion for producing the best coffee possible. In addition, the employees truly know how to harvest the best tasting coffee. By waiting for the coffee cherries to ripen to a perfect color and then hand picking and hand sorting each individual bean, the quality at La Morelia truly stands out.
